Good Morning Gardiner Hawks! These are your announcements for Tuesday, October 10th
September 15th to October 15th is Hispanic Heritage Month. Dolores Huerta is a famous Hispanic American who fought for worker's rights, and coined the well-known phrase, "Si se puedue" which translates into English as "yes, it can be done" or "yes we can"
There will be no school on Thursday and Friday of this week. Thursday and Friday are Teacher Inservice days.
Next week we will have a new organization to lunch/recess. If you have first lunch/recess, and you're in iTodos Unidos! you will start at recess. If you're not in iTodos Unidos! you will start at lunch. Then, halfway through, you'll switch.
If you have second lunch, and you're in 8th grade, you will start at recess. If you're in 7th grade you will start at lunch. Then halfway through you'll switch. We'll have more details in Advisory on Monday.
You can pick up applications for Student Council in your neighborhood or in the Welcome Center. They are due October 17th.
After school clubs start today after school! Art Club will meet in the art room, Board Games in the Clackamas Neighborhood Flex Lab, Comic Creations in the Columbia Neighborhood Flex Lab, Cooking Club will meet in Salmon today, Dungeons and Dragons in the Molalla Neighborhood Open Space, Spooky Book Club in the Salmon Neighborhood, and Journalism will meet in the classroom space of the ALC.
Everything that was in the Lost & Found has now been moved to the Grab & Go. If you are missing something please see Marlene or the Welcome Center before school, after school or during lunches. In a couple of weeks whatever is left will be donated to charity.
