¡Todos Unidos! dual language Immersion Program
Students in Oregon City have the unique opportunity to participate in a Spanish Dual Language Program. Students are able to develop skill in a second language in a similar manner to the way that they have learned their first . In addition to the ability to understand and speak more than one language, research shows that students who are bilingual gain additional cognitive, academic and employment benefits, as well.
¡Todos Unidos! students at Gardiner come from the K-5 Candy Lane Elementary School;
We offer a warm, inclusive atmosphere, where all students are welcome and celebrated for their unique backgrounds and abilities;
To maintain a quality program, we strive to enroll about half English Speakers and half Spanish speakers;
All students learn practice reading & writing in Spanish and English throughout every school day in a 50/50 model;
Our program combines academic rigor with scaffolded language support and creates conditions for all students to thrive in both English and Spanish;
Transportation is provided for students that live within the Oregon City School District boundary to Candy Lane (K-5), and Gardiner Middle School (6-8) to participate in ¡Todos Unidos! (Routes may be longer than to your attendance area school.);
