Know Your Neuro, Healthy Brain Skills for You & Your Child

Starting in January 2025, during their science classes, your children will be learning brain-based techniques and life skills, empowering them to resist high-risk behaviors, build self-esteem, and make healthy decisions.

This is an online program that also contains vital parent resources, so parents are encouraged to participate, too!

Research shows that the more often a child is exposed to positive prevention messages the more likely they are to remember them.

During class, topics and skills will be discussed, such as: Violence & Bullying, Depression/Anxiety, Anger Management, Impulse Control, Identity & Respect, Alcohol & Binge Drinking, Marijuana, and Vaping.

Please click HERE, then click on your child’s school link. You will be directed to the Know Your Neuro website where you can explore the many resources there. We will be awarding parent prizes again this year, gratefully donated by the Optimists Club!

We hope that you will take this opportunity to talk about your values and rules around drugs and alcohol use before it may become an issue.

We are also forming a Student Wellness Team where kids can learn more about these topics and become leaders for healthy messaging in their school. If you’d like more information about this opportunity, please fill out this interest form.

Know Your Neuro Program is made possible with a Youth Substance Abuse Prevention grant from Clackamas County Children, Family & Community Connections Division.
