What we call Oregon City today was originally home to several Native American tribes, such as Clackamas, Tumwaters, Clowwewallas, and more. For thousands of years, Willamette Falls has been a significant fishing and trading place for Native Americans. But by 1851, approximately 97% of the Native people in the Willamette Valley had died from diseases that didn't exist in the area until white settlers brought them.
The first Brain Break Club with Ms. Ravengael and Ms. Sarah will be meeting today during 2nd lunch (Thursday, November 9th). We are going to be talking about how to relax and be thankful. We will also be doing a fun activity. Meet in the Welcome Center with your lunch if you would like to join us. Hope to see you there!
