May 13, 2024
Good Morning Gardiner Hawks! These are your announcements for Monday, May 13th
Please stand if you’d like to participate in the Pledge of Allegiance. If you choose not to participate, please remain respectfully silent.
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the
Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and
justice for all.
You may be seated.
We also take time today to read our land acknowledgement. This is in front of our school near the office. Come by and take a look!
We acknowledge the land on which we sit and occupy today as the traditional home of the tribal nations, Clackamas, Watlala also known as Cascades, Clowwewalla also known as Willamette Tumwaters, and Northern Molalla. All of whom were relocated after signing the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 to the Grand Ronde Reservation and today their descendants are members of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde. With gratitude, we look forward to the generations for whom this will be a place of learning.
THE BOOK FAIR IS HERE! The Book Fair is open in the ALC today through Thursday. You can shop before school, during lunch, and, with your teacher's permission, during class time. Here are today's Caught Reading winners: Kaylee Price, Emma Edwins, and Bryan Villasenor. Winners can come to the ALC when convenient to choose their prize.
Wednesday is the LAST DAY to sign up for the Talent Show!! We know Gardiner has some AMAZING talent and we want to see it!! The GMS Talent Show will be Wed. June 12, but sign ups are in 2 days!
