March 13, 2024
Good Morning Gardiner Hawks! These are your announcements for Wednesday, March 13th
The ALC will be closed today.
Tomorrow during both lunches Oregon City High School AVID students will be here to talk about their high school experience. Stop by their table to learn more about AVID or anything about high school life like lockers, activities, clubs, and classes!
Please remember that backpacks need to stay in the neighborhoods at all times. Each neighborhood is designed with cubbies to store your items, but learning spaces throughout the building don’t have space. Staff will ask you to take your backpack to your neighborhood if they see you out and about with it. If a backpack is found outside of the learning neighborhoods it will be taken to the office and you can pick it up at the end of the day.
This week is Gardiner’s annual College and Career Week! We’ll have a number of activities throughout the week that help us learn more about the options we have after high school!
March is Women’s History Month - Annie Edson Taylor, a school teacher, celebrated her 63rd birthday by being the first person to survive going over Niagara Falls in a wooden barrel.
Weird Word Wednesday: Fiddle-dee-dee - an expression of mock surprise or disapproval
‘Oh, fiddle-dee-dee!’ exclaimed Mary when she realized she had left her lunch at home.
Today’s lunch options from the kitchen include:
Calzones with Salad - Cheese, Pepperoni
Build Your Own Nachos
Grab & Go’s : Hummus Box, Salads, Sandwiches, Parfaits
