Good Morning Gardiner Hawks! These are your announcements for Monday, January 8th

Please stand if you’d like to participate in the Pledge of Allegiance. If you choose not to participate, please remain respectfully silent.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the

Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and

justice for all.
You may be seated.

We also take time today to read our land acknowledgement. This is in front of our school near the office. Come by and take a look!

We acknowledge the land on which we sit and occupy today as the traditional home of the tribal nations, Clackamas, Watlala also known as Cascades, Clowwewalla also known as Willamette Tumwaters, and Northern Molalla. All of whom were relocated after signing the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 to the Grand Ronde Reservation and today their descendants are members of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde. With gratitude, we look forward to the generations for whom this will be a place of learning.

Do you love to cook?  Do you like challenges?  Then the Future Chefs Challenge is perfect for you.  It's a fun cooking contest for kids to show off their skills, learn about eating healthy, and hey, maybe even win some awesome prizes.  The deadline for entries is January 31st!

The Gardiner Musical needs students with art and building skills to help create the stage set for this year's production of The Sound of Music.

To be a part of Gardiner's Production Crew, you should have some Art, Woodshop or Maker Space experience here at Gardiner. Led by Mr. Kinast, this group will meet twice a week after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting on Jan 16 and going through February 22.

If you are interested, please contact Mr. Kinast or Mr. Hancock. There will be a short meeting of prospective crew members with Mr. Kinast and Mr. Hancock this week to make sure you understand what will be expected from you.

Ski Bus for February will be leaving from Gardiner.  Sign up on the Gardiner website today!

Are you interested in reading the morning announcements next semester?  Please come to the Welcome Center before school, during both lunches or after school to pick up an application.
