Good Morning Gardiner Hawks! These are your announcements for Tuesday, April 2nd

If you are wanting to participate in an After School Club, the google form has been sent out on Parent Square. Please get it filled out ASAP. Clubs start next Tuesday, April 9th.  

The after school science club will be hosted by a high school student so please sign up if you are interested.

April 15th is the last day to pre-purchase yearbooks.  If there are any extra yearbooks at the end of the year they will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.

All bus riders please listen!  The new bus routes have been suspended until further notice.  Please ride your regular bus route home today.

Tuesday Career Tidbit:

  Do you enjoy watching TV crime shows? Do you like solving mysteries?  Then a career as a forensic scientist might be right for you! Forensic scientists work with law enforcement to analyze evidence and investigate crimes. They also work with crime scene investigators, who provide them with evidence that requires analysis in a lab. The evidence gathered from crime scenes may include fingerprints, blood, hair, bullet fragments, photographs, and more. Forensic scientists do their work in a lab. Police and crime scene investigators gather evidence that they bring to forensic scientists. Sometimes forensic scientists testify in court about their findings.

A forensic scientist’s responsibilities include:

• Working with crime scene investigators

• Handling crime scene evidence

• Classifying and organizing evidence

• Analyzing evidence

• Reporting findings

• Documenting findings

• Testifying in court

To be a forensic scientist, you need a strong background in science, such as a degree in biology, chemistry, or another related field. The average salary for a forensic scientist is $58,000 - $95,000 a year and the job outlook is two times higher than other occupations.
