October 19, 2023
Good Morning Gardiner Hawks! These are your announcements for Thursday, October 19th
Today we are on a special schedule. We will have Advisory to start the day, and another Advisory at the end of the day. So after Period 6 today you will return to your Advisory class.
There is no school tomorrow for teachers to complete our first set of Progress Reports for the year. Next week, these will be posted on your StudentVUE account, and accessible on ParentVUE. You can access them by clicking on the Documents tab when you’re logged in. If you or your family members have any questions about your progress report, please reach out to your teacher for more information.
Tomorrow is Homecoming! The parade will start at Gardiner at 5:30 p.m. ending at Pioneer Memorial Stadium. After the parade there will be the final home football game of the year. Wear school colors to show your Homecoming Spirit!!! The cost is $4.00 for students. There is a section in the main stands for middle school students! Be sure to leave all backpacks, outside beverages, scooters, skateboards, footballs, and other items at home. They will not be able to come into the game with you. All students must show respectful, responsible, safe, and kind behavior at the game and plan to stay seated in the stands. Please bring your student I.D! Please, also take a photo of your student ID in case you forget it and have it ready to show as you enter at the lower gates at the stadium.
The Student Store will be open on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons right after school. It will start next Tuesday...so if you would like to purchase some snacks or school supplies, come on by. It will be open until 4:15 and will stock notebooks, binders, pens, markers and just about any school supply you might need. It will also have chips, granola bars and other snacks. You will need cash to buy these items. There will also be a Gotcha grab box with various items for 3 gotchas each
Joke of the Day:
What do short-sighted ghouls wear?
Spooktacles.
Since we’ve adjusted each lunch time into two smaller splits, we’ve seen the lunch lines moving a lot faster, and more students have been choosing to get lunch from the kitchen! Miss Marlene, our Lead Cook, is excited more students are choosing school lunch, and is increasing the number of meals our nutrition team prepares each day! Thank you for all the ways you’ve been this week as we’ve experienced this increase. Our goal is to be well adjusted to our new numbers next week.
Today’s lunch options from the kitchen include:
Meatball Sub with Chickpeas
Pizza with Salad - Cheese, Pepperoni, Supreme
Cheesebread with Salad
Grab & Go’s : Salads & Sandwiches
