Good Morning Gardiner Hawks! These are your announcements for Tuesday, December 12th

 Today for Spirit Week is Dress Like Your Friend!!   Tomorrow is business on top and PJ’s on bottom as we revisit Zoom School!!

  Are you saving those Gotchas for the Cocoa or Cider day tomorrow morning in Timber Hall? For 20 Gotchas, you can enjoy a warm cup of either hot cocoa or apple cider before advisory period.  We will have enough for the first 150 students. Gotchas must be signed by a Gardiner adult and turned in that morning. We will have an adult at the main entrance accepting gotchas for entry by 8:55. Hot drinks must stay in Timber Hall.  

Every Tuesday we will hear about a different career! Today’s career is about an audio engineer! Do you enjoy listening to or making music? A career as an audio engineer might be right for you! Audio engineers use machinery and equipment to record, synchronize, mix, or reproduce music, voices, or sound effects. They work on the production of movies, music recordings, live shows, or video games.

Audio engineers operate the equipment necessary to record sounds for audio or video. Audio engineers also handle equipment necessary for producing the best sound for live performances, such as concerts.

Training to be an audio engineer includes postsecondary vocational programs that typically take one year. Salaries for audio engineers can range from $43,000 to $85,000 a year. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects there will need to be more audio engineers in the next decade. 

  This month’s VIP character trait is Leadership.  One definition of Leadership is the ability of an individual or a group of people to influence and guide.     Another definition  is the art of motivating a group of people to act toward achieving a common goal.  Our VIP’s have shown these skills and are being recognized with a breakfast to honor them.
