Good Morning Gardiner Hawks! These are your announcements for Monday, March 18th

We also take time today to read our land acknowledgement. This is in front of our school near the office. Come by and take a look!
We acknowledge the land on which we sit and occupy today as the traditional home of the tribal nations, Clackamas, Watlala also known as Cascades, Clowwewalla also known as Willamette Tumwaters, and Northern Molalla. All of whom were relocated after signing the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 to the Grand Ronde Reservation and today their descendants are members of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde. With gratitude, we look forward to the generations for whom this will be a place of learning.
Please remember that backpacks need to stay in the neighborhoods at all times. Each neighborhood is designed with cubbies to store your items, but learning spaces throughout the building don’t have space. Staff will ask you to take your backpack to your neighborhood if they see you out and about with it. If a backpack is found outside of the learning neighborhoods it will be taken to the office and you can pick it up at the end of the day.
We want to make sure everyone knows there IS school on Wednesday, March 20th. Our planners have an error that shows no school for conferences. There is school on March 20th, AND there are conferences, but just in the evening.
We will be having conferences this week. Wednesday conferences are from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. and Thursday conferences are from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Also on Thursday from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. is the Future Chef competition. Good luck to all the competitors!!!
March is Women’s History Month - Sandra Day O’Connor became the first female justice on the Supreme Court. She served from 1981 to 2006.
